Amonai Itaaehau Earns WSFL Defensive Player of the Week

Amonai Itaaehau earned Western States Football League Defensive Player of the Week for his performance against the Pima Aztecs on Saturday night.

Itaaehau recorded 15 total tackles (9 solo), two sacks (-8 yards), three tackles for loss (-12 yards) and one pass breakup in Mesa's 37-32 victory over the Aztecs.

For Itaaehau, this is his second WSFL Defensive Player of the Week honor this season.  He earned his first POW against Phoenix College in week two.

For the Mesa Thunderbirds, this is their ninth WSFL Player of the Week honor this season.
