Fusak, Kapanicas tie for first as women's golf wins again

  Phoenix, AZ – Megan Fusak and Haley Kapanicas tied for first place as the women's golf team won its 81st consecutive conference tournament at the Paradise Valley Invitational Tuesday. Kapanicascwon medal honors in a playoff.

  The pair each shot 36-hole 159 totals, with Fusak carding a 78 and an 81 and Kapanicas shooting an 82 and a tournament low 77 on Tuesday.

  It helped MCC to a 342-337—679,  69 strokes better than Chandler-Gilbert which finished at 373-375—748.

  Taylor Gransen finished in sixth place at 98-87—176 with Hannah Brown taking ninth place with a 93-92—185.

  The T-Birds will be back in action quickly, playing in the Chandler-Gilbert Invitational Saturday and Sunday at the Las Colinas G.C.
