#7 women's golf takes Mesa Invitational for 83rd straight conference win

  Mesa, AZ – The seventh-ranked women's golf team won its 83rd consecutive ACCAC tournament Tuesday to head into the NJCAA Division I National Championship with a 14-shot win over Chandler-Gilbert at the Longbow G.C.

  MCC has won the regional title for 12 years in a row and will host the national championship May 14-17 also at Longbow.

  The T-Birds carded a 342-347—689 two-day total to top CGCC which finished at 356-347—703. Pima was third with a 390-377—767.

  Megan Fusak took second place with a 78-81—161 while Haley Kapanicas was third at 82-80—160.

  Taylor Gransen finished in seventh place with an 88-92—180 and Cheyanne Stewart tied for tenth recording a 95-93—188.
