Women's Soccer Explode for 7-1 Victory Over Glendale

Mesa, AZ - The Mesa Thunderbirds women's soccer team made quick work of the Glendale Gauchos Saturday afternoon in a the way of 7-1 victory.

The T-Birds jumped out with a quick just six minutes in, with Tawsi Rohner scoring her third goal of the season.  Esmeralda Cervantes then scored one of her two goals on the day in the 20th minute of action to give the T-Birds a 2-0 advantage.

Lizbeth Medina scored Mesa's third goal of the period while Emily Lynch finished the half by scoring one of her two goals in the 31st minute.

Martina Bueno added goal in the second half to help Mesa move to 2-3-1 on the season, with the same record being held in the ACCAC.

Mesa will host South Mountain this coming Tuesday at John D. Riggs Stadium at 4:30 pm and will then host Cochise College on Friday afternoon at 4:30 pm.
