MESA, AZ - Head Coach Dan Pescador is pleased to announce the signing of three of the top athletes in the state of Arizona, in Adeline Montgomery of Highland High School, David Fernandez of Ironwood Ridge High School, and Zach Harrach of Highland High School.

"I am very excited to be adding Adeline, David, and Zach to the program. They come from very great high school programs and will be a tremendous addition to the team at MCC," Says Pescador.

Montgomery has been a three year varsity runner at powerhouse Highland High, where they have consistently placed in the top four at the D-1 State Cross Country championships. This past fall Montgomery finished 13th at D-1 State meet, her best finish yet. She was also a part of the state champion 4x800 Relay last spring that recorded one of the fastest times in state history. "Addi is a consistently a strong performer, and I do not see that changing any time soon. Look for Addi to continue her dominating ways at NJCAA level," notes Pescador.

David Fernandez also comes from a very good program in Ironwood Ridge in Oro Valley. He has been one of the top runners in the state throughout his whole high school career. He has recorded two top 10 finishes in at the D-1 state meet, placing tenth as a junior, and eighth as a senior. "David is a true competitor, he always rises to the occasion when it is time to perform. He is consistently one of the top runners at all of the big meets. David will be a big contributor to our program next fall," Pescador says.

Joining Adeline from Highland High is Zach Harrach who has been a very impressive at times himself. Harrach placed 28th at the D-1 state championship to help secure a fifth place team finish for Highland. He has had a great start to his senior year track season. "Zach will be a good boost to the men's team. He has the desire to push himself to the max, and will find a way to keep fighting for the win," Pescador says.
