T-BIRD MOMENTS OF 2025-26: MEN'S GOLF CLAIMS THUNDERBIRD FALL CLASSIC TITLE
One of the standout moments of the 2025-26 season came when the Mesa Community College men's golf team captured the team championship at the Thunderbird Fall Classic at Dobson Ranch Golf Club.
After opening the tournament with a 281 (-7), the Thunderbirds delivered a remarkable final round of 272 (-16), the lowest round recorded by any team during the event. The performance propelled Mesa to a tournament-winning score of 553 (-23), finishing ahead of South Mountain (558) and Eastern Arizona (560).
Mesa's victory was fueled by outstanding depth throughout the lineup, with four golfers placing inside the top seven individually.
Madden Hall and Tanner Thompson each tied for third place after matching scores of 137 (-7), while Karter Samprone finished tied for fifth at 139 (-5). Trey Moss added a top-10 finish, tying for seventh with a score of 141 (-3).
Additional scoring support came from Kush Shah, who tied for 12th at 144, and Nathan Giles, who tied for 16th at 145.
The Thunderbirds' championship performance featured five sub-par rounds and showcased the talent and depth of a team that would continue to build momentum throughout the season.
As one of the defining moments of the 2025-26 campaign, Mesa's victory at the Thunderbird Fall Classic earned its place among the memorable T-Bird Moments of the year.
