T-BIRD MOMENTS OF 2025-26: BEACH VOLLEYBALL SETS PROGRAM RECORD WITH 21 WINS
One of the defining moments of the 2025-26 season came as the Mesa Community College beach volleyball team established a new program record with 21 victories, continuing the Thunderbirds' rise as one of the nation's premier programs.
Mesa capped another outstanding campaign by finishing third at the NJCAA Beach Volleyball National Invitational for the second consecutive season, matching the best national finish in program history.
The Thunderbirds also earned four NJCAA All-American selections. Brianna Anderson and Marley Avechuco were named All-Americans alongside the duo of Isa Folau and Paige Thompson, recognizing the success and depth of the Mesa lineup throughout the season.
Anderson and Avechuco added another milestone by setting a new program record with 29 victories as a pair, becoming the winningest duo in Thunderbird beach volleyball history.
With record-setting performances, national recognition, and another podium finish, the 2025-26 season stands as one of the most successful in program history and earned its place among the unforgettable T-Bird Moments of the year.
