Beach Volleyball advances to Quarterfinals of NJCAA National Championships

No. 4 Mesa Beach Volleyball earned two victories on day two of the NJCAA Beach Volleyball National Championships.
Match One:
Mesa took down No. 8 seeded Trinidad State College, 4-1 in their final match of pool play giving Mesa a 2nd place finish in Pool A with a 2-1 record. MCC's 2, 3, 4, & 5 pairings all took a 2-0 victory over their opponents.
Going into pool play Mesa was the No. 5 seed but with their performance in the first three matches they jumped up to the No. 4 seed and took on No. 5 seed Sandhills Community College in their first match of bracket play.
Match Two:
The Beach Birds came out on fire in the quarterfinals of bracket play as they earned a 3-0 victory over Sandhills. Mesa's 2, 3, & 4 pairings led the charge in the decision win.
With the win MCC will now get another chance to topple the two time defending National Champion and top seed Palm Beach State College in the semifinals. Match begins on Saturday at 9:15 a.m. CDT (7:30 a.m. MST).
