Mesa Beach Volleyball took home third place at the 2025 NJCAA Beach Volleyball National Championships on Saturday.

The No. 4 Beach Birds were in a tightly contested match against No. 2 Lake Sumter State in the pouring Alabama rain. Mesa's No. 5 pair of Sophie Palmer and Samantha Ward took their match first with a 2-0 victory. The No. 2 pair of Brynlee Barris and Isa Folau were next to claim victory for Mesa as they had to go to three sets but were able to come in clutch to secure the win.

Brianna Anderson and Kendyl Arnett at the No. 3 position were in a back and forth battle as they dropped set one after being up late. The duo would rally to win set two forcing a deciding final set which Mesa won 15-12, clinching third place for the T-Birds.

The finish is the best in program history, head coach Jordan Herrington has had the program on the right track since she took over in 2023, finishing in 6th her first year, 5th last year, and now third place in this season.
