Beach Volleyball Extends Academic Team Streak to Five Years

Beach Volleyball continues to make waves both on and off the sand. For the fifth consecutive year, the Thunderbirds have been recognized as an NJCAA Academic Team of the Year, earning a 3.24 cumulative team GPA for the 2024-25 academic year.

The NJCAA honors programs each year that achieve a team GPA of 3.0 or higher, and the Beach Birds been a model of academic consistency for five consecutive seasons on the NJCAA Academic list.

Despite being one of the newer sports at MCC, beach volleyball has quickly established itself as a program built on discipline, teamwork, and all-around excellence. Maintaining academic honors for five straight seasons is a reflection of the culture that has been built within the team.
