ANDERSON & AVECHUCO EARN NJCAA BEACH VOLLEYBALL ALL-AMERICAN HONORS

Mesa Community College beach volleyball student-athletes Brianna Anderson and Marley Avechuco were named to the NJCAA Beach Volleyball All-American Second Team following a standout 2026 season on the sand.

The Thunderbird duo capped off a historic year by setting the program record for most wins by a pair in a single season, finishing with a 29-7 overall record while competing primarily in the No. 2 flight for Mesa.

Anderson and Avechuco consistently delivered for the Thunderbirds throughout the spring, helping lead MCC against some of the top competition in the nation. The pair earned multiple signature wins during the season and established themselves as one of the premier tandems in NJCAA beach volleyball.

Their chemistry, composure, and ability to perform in high-pressure situations helped power Mesa to another successful campaign while continuing to raise the standard for Thunderbird beach volleyball.

The All-American recognition adds another accomplishment to an already decorated season for the pair and marks Mesa Community College's continued presence on the national stage in NJCAA beach volleyball.
