Danielewicz Plays Hero Twice as He Helps #5 Mesa Sweep Chandler-Gilbert, 4-3, 6-5

Mesa, AZ - His teammates call him Danno but after today they'll be calling him Dan the Man as Lucas Danielewicz knocked in both of Mesa's go-ahead runs to solidify two sweeping victories Tuesday afternoon.

Tied at three in the bottom of the seventh inning of game one and with the bases loaded, Danielewicz drove a fly ball to the base of the outfield wall, just beyond the reach of the Chandler-Gilbert right fielder, scoring Jacob Roybal from third, giving Mesa the 4-3 win.

In game two, under almost identical circumstances, bases loaded, tied at five, Danno turned on a fast ball, driving it down the left line, allowing Dawson Baracani to score from third, securing the 6-5 win.

The wins put Mesa at 13-5 on the regular season and 7-5 in conference play.  Mesa will be back in action this coming Thursday with a single game against Glendale.
