Danielewicz, Leslie, Wagner Earn Post-Season Honors; T-Birds Set to Play in Post Season
The Region I and ACCAC baseball released its 2021 post-season awards and Mesa found three players on the varies teams.
Josh Leslie earned a spot on the Region I - DII 1st Team. Mesa's captain and staple in the middle infield for the T-Birds, Leslie hit for a .366 average this season, with a .469 OBP, collecting 34 runs batted in, hitting 15 doubles and one triple.
Zach Wagner earned a spot on the Region I - DII 2nd Team. Wagner's bat all season has steadied Mesa's offense attack as the sophomore hit for a .325 average, .413 slugging percentage with 26 runs batted in, collecting nine doubles, one triple and drawing 14 walks.
Lucas Danielewicz earned a spot on the Region I - DII 2nd Team as well. Dano solidified the cleanup position for Mesa, batting .316 on the season, clubbing three homeruns, 10 doubles while knocking in 38 runs and drawing 21 walks.
Region I - DII Tournament UPDATE
The Region I - DII Tournament will begin Thursday, May 6th and run through Friday and Saturday. All games for the opening weekend will be hosted at Glendale Community College.
