DANIEL HESSE NAMED TO BASEBALL ALL-REGION 1ST TEAM

Mesa Community College baseball sophomore Daniel Hesse has been named to the NJCAA Region I All-Region First Team following a standout 2026 season on the mound for the Thunderbirds.

Hesse served as one of Mesa's top arms throughout the season, finishing with 79 strikeouts and an impressive 11.29 strikeouts per nine innings while recording five wins.

The sophomore consistently delivered key performances during conference play and helped anchor the Thunderbird pitching staff against some of the top lineups in the ACCAC and Region I. His ability to generate swings and misses made him one of the premier strikeout pitchers in the region throughout the year.

During the season Hesse was also named the ACCAC Week 2 Pitcher of the Week as well as the NJCAA DII Pitcher of the Week.
