Mesa, AZ - There are nights to remember and then there are nights to forget.
For the Mesa Thunderbirds men's basketball team, Thursday's upset of #4 Salt Lake was a night to remember but Saturday's 85-52 loss to College of Southern Idaho was a night to forget.
The T-Birds finished the Fiesta Bowl Junior College Shootout with a 1-2 record, claiming fourth place overall.
Sindou Diallo was a bright spot for the T-Birds, scoring 20 points while pulling down seven rebounds. Mesa however shot just 27 percent (17-62) from the field and connected on only four of 23 three-pointers.
Mesa will now begin the second half of their conference schedule, first against the Central Arizona Vaquero's at home next Wednesday night at 7:30 pm then they will head to Thatcher, AZ for a matchup with the Eastern Arizona Gila Monsters, also a 7:30 pm tip.
