Cummard & Dean earn Postseason Awards for Men's Basketball

Talbot Cummard and Tyreek Dean both earned postseason honors for their 2024-25 campaigns.

Talbot Cummard was named to the All-ACCAC 2nd Team after he led Mesa in scoring, averaging 15.6PPG on 39.2% shooting from the floor. Cummard also averaged 4.7 rebounds per game and 3.4 assists. 

Cummard was named the NJCAA DII Men's Basketball National Player of the Week in Week 10 after he earned a triple-double against Phoenix College with 10 points, 12 rebounds, & 13 assists in the T-Bird win.

Cummard scored in double figures in 25 of his 28 games played with a season high of 34 points against Wenatchee Community College on Nov. 14.Cummard had seven 20 point games and 15 games with 15 or more points.

Tyreek Dean was named to the All-ACCAC 3rd Team after averaging 10.9PPG on 42.7% shooting from the field. Dean also averaged five rebounds and 1.3 assists per contest.

Dean scored a season high 24 points against Phoenix College in the T-Birds 75-67 victory on Jan. 25. Dean scored in double figures in 15 of his 28 games played. Of those 15 games Dean had nine games of 15 or more points.
