Men's Golf takes fourth at the Estrella Mountain CC Invitational after stumbling in round two

Mesa Men's Golf took home fourth place in the Estrella Mountain CC Invitational at Sundance Golf Course earlier this week.

The T-Bird men had a strong first round on Monday as they shot +16 as a team and found themselves in second place in the field of five teams. Luke Stephens led the way for Mesa as he fired a +1 (73) in the opening round finishing the day in second place individually. 

Day two was not kind to the T-Birds as Mesa shot +29 over as a team. Ross Kocsis fired +6 in the second round (78) as he led the charge on day two for Mesa. 

Individually Stephens had the best finish for Mesa as he came in T-9th place after shooting +8  (73-79-152). Kush Shah took home 13th firing +10 (75-79-154). Tanner Thompson finished 15th after shooting +13 (76-81-157). Ross Kocsis came in T-16th place as he shot +14 (80-78-158) during the two day event.

Mesa will be back in action on March 10 as they compete in the Glendale CC Invitational at Union Hills Golf Course.
