The Mesa Community College Men's Golf team is gearing up for the NJCAA DII Men's Golf National Championships in Plymouth, IN after an impressive season capped by a second-place finish at the Region I Championship.
Leading the way is standout golfer Kush Shah, who has been a model of consistency throughout the season with multiple top-10 finishes. Shah's steady play and ability to perform under pressure will be key as Mesa looks to compete against the best teams in the country.
The Thunderbirds' success this season has been built on depth, discipline, and resilience. Head coach John Guerrero has emphasized preparation and mental toughness as the team enters championship play, where every stroke counts and composure is critical.
With a solid team performance at the NJCAA Region I Championship and a strong showing throughout the spring season, Mesa is confident and focused heading into Nationals. The experience gained throughout the year paired with the talent of players like Shah gives the T-Birds a strong foundation to contend for a top finish.
The first round will begin on Tuesday at Swan Lake Golf Resort with the T-Birds teeing off starting at 9:51 a.m. EDT (6:51 a.m. MST).
