MEN’S GOLF MOVES INTO 16TH PLACE AFTER ROUND THREE AT NJCAA DIVISION II MEN’S GOLF NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS
Mesa Community College Men's Golf climbed into 16th place overall after round three of the NJCAA Division II Men's Golf National Championships on Thursday at Swan Lake Golf Resort.
The Thunderbirds enter the final round of the national championship tournament with a team score of +58 after posting one of their strongest rounds of the week.
Tanner Thompson led Mesa during round three, carding an even-par 72 to move into a tie for 20th place individually heading into the tournament's final day.
Nathan Giles also delivered a solid round for the Thunderbirds, shooting a two-over-par 74 to sit tied for 73rd overall.
Kush Shah posted a six-over-par 78 and is tied for 88th individually, while Karter Samprone carded an 82 (+10) and sits tied for 84th overall.
Mesa will close out competition on Friday in the fourth and final round of the NJCAA Division II Men's Golf National Championships in Plymouth, Indiana.
