MEN’S GOLF FINISHES 18TH AT NJCAA DIVISION II MEN’S GOLF NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS
Mesa Community College Men's Golf wrapped up competition at the NJCAA Division II Men's Golf National Championships with an 18th-place team finish at Swan Lake Golf Resort in Plymouth, Indiana.
The Thunderbirds finished the four-round tournament at +81 with team rounds of 306, 310, 306, and 311 while competing against the top junior college programs in the nation.
Tanner Thompson led the way for Mesa throughout the week, finishing tied for 31st overall at +11. Thompson posted rounds of 73, 77, 73, and 77 during the national championship tournament.
Nathan Giles finished tied for 79th overall at +24 after carding rounds of 77, 81, 74, and 80.
Kush Shah placed tied for 82nd overall at +25 with rounds of 77, 82, 78, and 76, including a four-over-par performance during the final round.
Karter Samprone finished 94th overall at +30 after rounds of 79, 74, 82, and 83.
Trey Moss competed as a substitute during rounds three and four for the Thunderbirds, posting rounds of 82 and 78 to finish tied for 134th overall.
Madden Hall competed as a substitute during rounds one and two for Mesa, posting scores of 79 and 78 to finish tied for 129th overall.
Mesa closed out the national tournament with multiple strong individual performances and valuable national championship experience against one of the strongest fields in NJCAA Division II Men's Golf.
