Phoenix, AZ - Preston Grayson made a pretty good first impression in Thursdays season opener at South Mountain as the freshman scored four goals in Mesa's 9-0 victory against the Cougars.

Incredibly, all nine of Mesa's goals came in the first half.  Edwin Amaya scored the first goal of the match, followed by Jesus Garcia just over two minutes later.  Nabil Laroussi scored at the 5:44 mark with Grayson scoring the next two goals.

Andres Hernandez scored at the 30:11 mark followed by another Grayson goal at the 33:44 mark.  Moises Durazo netted the T-Birds eighth goal with Grayson putting goal nine in at just before half.

With the victory, Mesa starts the season 1-0.  They will be at home this coming Saturday at 8 pm when they host Gateway.
