Anna Brown, DeAndre Gatlin, & Corbin Pyle qualify for Nationals as the T-Birds storm the competition in Tucson this weekend

T-Bird Track & Field continued their successful start to the Indoor season on Saturday at the Al Shirley Memorial Invitational.

Women's Track & Field:

Anna Brown punched her ticket to Nationals as she hit the qualifying standards in the Pole Vault with a mark of 3.05m. Madisyn Williams who qualified for Nationals last week was successful at 3.35m.

SeiOriana Glass finished third in the Weight Throw (13.39m) while Erin Mabry took first in both the Triple Jump (10.48m) and the 60m Dash (7.91). Carmella Baldwin took first in the 3000m (10:51.69) while Kinley Jackson took second (11:06.30). 

In the 1000m Regina Raimo finished first (4:08.89), Marissa Hernandez took third (3:22.54), and Lucy Melzer took seventh (3:31.95). In the Mile Melzer took first (5:34.58), Hernandez finished second (5:39.10), and Destiny Hernandez came in fifth (6:14.38).

In the 600m Kate Dare finished third (1:43.06) while Alyssa O'Berry took home eighth (1:53.70). The 4x400 Relay team of Dare, Katie Munoz, Raimo, and Sara Jacobson took home third (4:15.06).

Men's Track & Field:

Corbin Pyle qualified for Nationals in the 800m capturing a time of 1:55.34. DeAndre Gatlin will also compete on the big stage in Lubbock, TX as he qualified in the High Jump hitting the mark of 2.04m.

In the 600m Caden Hardison took first (1:23.83), Bennett Kaup took second (1:25.01), while Josh Fossett finished sixth (1:29.00). In the 1000m Gabriel Gonzales finished first (2:37.21), Hardison took second (2:37.66), Parker Stoft came in fourth (2:42.52), while Jorge Trujillo finished fifth (2:45.25).

In the Mile the T-Birds dominated as Pyle took first (4:24.97), Calvin Schnepf finished third (4:31.34), Gonzales came in fourth (4:33.24), and Quenton Metz took home fifth (4:36.15). 

Cameron Arsenault (15.04m) won the Shot Put while Austin John (13.28m) came in second. In the Weight Throw John and Arsenault would switch places as John (14.38m) took the event and Arsenault (13.66m) took second.
