LAFFITTE EARNS NJCAA MEN'S INDOOR TRACK & FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK HONOR

Mesa Community College sophomore Jaden Laffitte has been named the NJCAA Men's Indoor Track & Field Athlete of the Week following a standout performance at the Gaucho Indoor.

Laffitte claimed first place in the 400 meters with a time of 47.12 seconds and added a second-place finish in the 200 meters in 21.12 seconds. Those marks moved him to No. 10 nationally in the 400m and tied for No. 9 in the 200m at the NJCAA Division I level, highlighting one of the top sprint doubles in the country last weekend.

With the honor, Laffitte joins teammate Maleah Tucker as another Thunderbird to earn NJCAA National Athlete of the Week recognition this season, underscoring the strength of Mesa's indoor program across multiple event groups.
