Men's cross country third at ACCAC championship meet

  Mesa, AZ – The Mesa men's cross country team placed third at the ACCAC Championship Saturday on the MCC home course.

  The T-Birds scored 57 points. Defending national champions Central Arizona won the event with 22 and Paradise Valley was second at 50.

  Flynn Fuhrmann led Mesa with a fifth place finish, covering the 8k course in 26:24.8. Jalen Chee was tenth with a time of 27:16.3 and Andrew McCumber placed 12 in 27:23.2.

  Mesa will host its own Mesa Classic next Saturday beginning at 8:30 a.m.

  The T-Birds had five runners on the all-conference team. Fuhrmann is on the first team. Chee, McCumber, and nad Geoffrey Grosthal are on the second and Joel Wadsworth and Bryan Mendez the third team.
