SAMANTHA ALCANTAR NAMED TO ALL-ACCAC 2ND TEAM

Mesa Community College softball sophomore Samantha Alcantar earned All-ACCAC Second Team honors following a strong offensive season for the Thunderbirds in 2026.

Alcantar was one of Mesa's most consistent hitters throughout the year, finishing the season with a .403 batting average while totaling 58 hits and 18 doubles.

The sophomore provided production throughout the lineup during conference play, consistently reaching base and delivering extra-base hits for the Thunderbirds. Her 18 doubles ranked among the team leaders and highlighted her ability to drive the ball into the gaps all season long.

Alcantar's All-ACCAC selection adds to a strong year for Mesa Softball as the Thunderbirds continued to battle throughout ACCAC competition in 2026.
