Sells, AZ - The #9 Mesa Thunderbirds scored a 43 point win Saturday night down at Tohono O'odham with an 80-37 victory.
Cheyanne Begay led Mesa scorer's with 16 points while Lynnae Mitchell scored 15 points. Mesa made four three pointers on the night, three of which came from Mitchell.
The T-Birds controlled the game from start to finish, taking a 47-14 lead into halftime. All 11 Thunderbirds scored on the night.
Mesa moves to 18-5 overall and 13-2 in ACCAC play. The T-Birds will be home next Wednesday night against Chandler-Gilbert for a 5:30 pm tip and then at Central Arizona next Saturday for a 2 pm tip.
