Ashiian Hunter earns ACCAC DII Women's Player of the Week honor

Mesa Women's Basketball added another ACCAC honor to their season as Ashiian Hunter earned the DII Women's Week 11 Player of the Week honor.

Hunter helped the T-Birds dominate South Mountain in their sole game during the week. Hunter led all scorers with 21 points as she went 8-13 from the field including hitting five of her nine three-point attempts. In her 20 minutes of play Hunter also grabbed four rebounds and dished out six assists. 

Hunter is the second T-Bird to win the honor this season as Britany Kogbara collected the hardware in week seven after back-to-back dominating games against Pima and College of Southern Idaho. 

Hunter and Kogbara will lead the T-Birds into another conference contest on Wednesday as they travel to take on Chandler-Gilbert.
