Kogbara, Hunter, Hurd, & Bekele all earn Postseason Awards for Women's Basketball

Mesa Community College Women's Basketball had multiple players earn ACCAC Postseason Awards.
Britany Kogbara earned multiple honors as she was named to the All-ACCAC DII 1st Team, the All-Region DII 1st Team, and the DII Defensive Player of the Year.
Kogbara has had a historic season averaging 13.2PPG, 9.3RPG, & 1.5BPG. Kogbara has scored in double figures 21 of her 30 games played this season & had 12 games of 15 points or more. Kogbara had a monster game against Rock Valley College on Dec. 17 where she scored 30 points and grabbed 14 rebounds. Kogbara has earned 12 double-doubles this season.
Kogbara earned ACCAC DII Women's Basketball Player of the Week honor in Week 7 after averaging 19.5PPG and 11RPG in a two game stretch.
Ashiian Hunter was named to the All-ACCAC DII 1st Team & the All-Region 1st Team.
Hunter averaged 11.7PPG on 37.2% shooting from the field and 34.8% shooting from deep. Hunter also averaged 4APG and 1.5SPG for the T-Birds. Hunter scored in double figures in 18 games this season with nine of those games scoring 15 or more points.
Hunter has been a key distributor for Mesa this season with 14 games of five or more assists.
Hunter was named the ACCAC DII Women's Basketball Player of the Week in Week 11 after scoring 21 points, grabbing four rebounds, and dishing out six assists while playing just 20 minutes in Mesa's win over South Mountain.
Kamiyah Hurd was named to the All-ACCAC DII 2nd Team & the All-Region 2nd Team.
Hurd averaged 7.7PPG and 5.8RPG for the T-Birds this season. Hurd shot 37.4% from the floor and 32.8% from three-point range. Hurd had three double-doubles this season where she averaged 12.6PPG and 13.3RPG.
Amya Bekele was named to the All-ACCAC DII 2nd Team.
Bekele averaged 7.6PPG and 4RPG for Mesa this season. Bekele shot 35.4% from the field and 32.2% from deep. Bekele had five games where she made three or more shots from downtown including a perfect 5-5 performance from deep in the T-Birds final regular season game against South Mountain.
