Ashiian Hunter & Britany Kogbara earn All-American honors

The NJCAA released the 2024-25 DII Women's Basketball All-American list on Wednesday honoring the best in the country.

The Lady T-Birds had solid representation as Britany Kogbara and Ashiian Hunter were both named All-Americans for their sophomore season campaigns.

Kogbara was named 1st Team All-American after averaging 13.4 PPG on 59.2% shooting while averaging 9.5 rebounds per contest. Kogbara had 14 double-doubles this season including a 30 point 14 rebound night against Rock Valley on Dec. 17, 2024.

Kogbara was the ACCAC Week 7 DII Player of the Week after averaging a double-double in the two games played that week. Kogbara had 18 points and nine rebounds against Pima and 21 points to go along with 13 rebounds against Southern Idaho. 

Kogbara was also named the ACCAC DII Defensive Player of the Year while being named to the All-Region and All-ACCAC 1st Team. In the NJCAA National Championship Kogbara averaged 15 PPG on 61.3% shooting from the floor to go along with grabbing 9.6 RPG. 

Hunter was named 3rd Team All-American after averaging 11.9 PPG on 37% shooting from the field (35.5% from 3pt) to go along with 3.9 assists and 1.4 steals per contest. Hunter scored 15 or more points in 11 games this season including two 21 point games. 

Hunter was named the ACCAC Week 11 Player of the Week after a 21 point night against South Mountain where she hit five of nine shots from deep. In addition Hunter was also named to the All-Region and All-ACCAC 1st Team. In the NJCAA DII National Championship Hunter averaged 14.6 PPG on 38.7% shooting from the field.
