PATTERSON EARNS ACCAC DII WOMEN’S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Mesa Community College guard Sydnee Patterson has been named the ACCAC Division II Women's Basketball Player of the Week following a strong two-game performance that helped the Thunderbirds to a 2–0 week.

Patterson opened the week with 15 points, 10 rebounds, 1 assist, and 2 steals in MCC's 43–33 win over Arizona Western. She followed that with one of her most complete outings of the season, posting 16 points, 10 rebounds, and 9 assists against Yavapai College in a 115–40 victory. For the week, she averaged 15.5 points, 10.0 rebounds, 5.0 assists, and 2.5 steals while shooting 42.9% from the field.

This marks the second time this season an MCC women's basketball player has earned the conference's Division II weekly honor, joining Amya Bekele, who took home the award in Week 2.
