GALLARDO EARNS ACCAC DII WOMEN’S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Mesa Community College guard Carmella Gallardo has been named the Week 10 ACCAC DII Women's Basketball Player of the Week, continuing Mesa's strong presence among the conference's top performers this season.

Gallardo helped lead the Thunderbirds to a 2-0 week, averaging 14.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, 7.5 assists, and 3.0 steals per game while shooting 54.5% from the field and 50% from three-point range. She opened the week with 16 points on 4-of-7 shooting from beyond the arc in a win over No. 8 Pima. Gallardo followed with a complete all-around performance against South Mountain, recording 13 points, seven rebounds, and 12 assists in Mesa's decisive victory.

With the honor, Gallardo joins Sydnee Patterson, Amya Bekele, and Lakeisha Robinson as Thunderbirds to earn ACCAC Player of the Week recognition this season, underscoring the depth and balance of the Mesa roster.
