MCC Women’s Golf Extends Academic Honors Streak to 14 Straight Seasons

Year after year, the Mesa Community College Women's Golf team sets the standard in the classroom. For the 14th consecutive season, the Thunderbirds have been named an NJCAA Academic Team of the Year, boasting an impressive 3.42 team GPA for 2024-25.

Since the 2011-12 academic year, MCC Women's Golf has earned NJCAA academic honors without interruption, a streak unmatched by most programs. In 2012-13, the team achieved the ultimate academic accolade, being named the NJCAA Academic Team of the Year.

The NJCAA recognizes teams with GPAs of 3.0 or higher, and MCC Women's Golf continues to lead the way. Their success reflects the program's culture of discipline, support, and high expectations in all aspects of student-athlete life.
