GERMAINE EARNS REGION I MEDALIST HONORS, LEADS MESA TO TITLE

Mesa Community College's Abree Germaine delivered a championship performance at the Region I Women's Golf Championships, earning individual medalist honors while leading the Thunderbirds to their sixth straight team title.

Germaine finished the four-round event with a total of 319 (+35), maintaining control of the leaderboard from start to finish. She opened with an 81 before responding with a 77 in round two to position herself at the top. After an 84 in the third round, Germaine closed strong with another 77 to secure the individual title.

Her consistency across all four rounds proved to be the difference, as she was able to take control of the leaderboard after round three.

Germaine's performance anchored a dominant showing for Mesa, as the Thunderbirds placed four golfers inside the top five en route to the Region I Championship.

With the regional title secured, Germaine and the Thunderbirds now turn their focus to the NJCAA Women's Golf National Championships in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, set for May 12–15.
