THUNDERBIRD WOMEN'S GOLF COMPLETES ROUND 2 AT NJCAA NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS

Mesa Community College Women's Golf completed the second round of the 2026 NJCAA Division II Women's Golf National Championships on Wednesday at Ol' Colony Golf Complex.

The Thunderbirds currently sit in eighth place overall with a two-round team score of +106 after posting a +55 during round two. Shelton State Community College continues to lead the field at +61, followed by Murray State College at +70.

Abree Germaine once again led the way for Mesa, carding an 81 (+9) in round two to move to +14 overall for the tournament. Germaine sits eighth individually heading into Thursday's third round.

Sara Sawyer climbed into a tie for 23rd overall after shooting an 84 (+12) during round two. Sawyer highlighted her day with a birdie on hole 16 and sits at +25 through two rounds.

Elina Beyer posted an 87 (+15) in the second round and is tied for 43rd overall, while Annalise Kooner sits tied for 46th after recording a 91 (+19). 

The four-day national championship tournament continues Thursday with round three action in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
