Bara Records Hat Trick, Mesa Beats Yavapai 6-2

Mesa, AZ - The Mesa Thunderbirds women's soccer team recorded its first win of the season with a 6-2 victory over the Yavapai Roughriders Tuesday afternoon.

Following another solid performance by Annabella Bara, the T-Birds were on the offensive attack throughout the entire match.  In two matches so far, Bara has now recorded two hat tricks for a total of six goals on the season.

Mesa tallied three goals in the first half, two coming from Bara and the third from Sarah Banks.  In the second half, Rylee Rottweiler scored within the first two minutes of the half, followed by Bara's third goal at the 37 minute mark with the final goal being scored by Emma Rich.

With the win, Mesa moves to 1-1 on the season.  The T-Birds will play at home again this coming Saturday when they host to the Pima Aztecs at 5:30 pm.
