WOMEN’S TENNIS CLAIMS THIRD STRAIGHT REGION I / ACCAC TITLE, SWEEPS ALL-REGION FIRST TEAM

Mesa Community College Women's Tennis continued its dominance atop the conference, capturing its third consecutive Region I and ACCAC Championship to extend one of the premier runs in program history.

The Thunderbirds once again set the standard throughout the season, finishing on top of the conference standings and carrying that momentum into the postseason. Mesa's depth and consistency proved unmatched, as the T-Birds controlled matches across both singles and doubles play on their way to the title.

Leading the charge was Player of the Year Lucia Madrid-Schleicher, who anchored the lineup with standout performances all season. Her play, combined with a balanced and experienced roster, helped power Mesa through the conference slate and into another championship finish.

Head coach Feroz Rast was named ACCAC Coach of the Year, guiding the program to its third straight title and continuing to build a culture of sustained excellence in Mesa.

The Thunderbirds' dominance was further reflected in postseason honors, sweeping all six spots on the All-Region First Team:

Mesa's ability to control the conference from top to bottom has been the defining factor during this three-year run, with each season reinforcing the program's position as the team to beat in Region I.
