LUCY MELZER BREAKS OUTDOOR SCHOOL RECORD IN THE 1500M

Lucy Melzer set a new Mesa Community College outdoor school record in the 1500 meters at the Carvel Jackson Memorial Track & Field Showcase, finishing in 4:37.97.

Melzer's time surpasses the previous mark of 4:39.51, set by Beth Cook in 1996, by 1.54 seconds. The performance marks a significant milestone for the program, as the record had stood for nearly three decades.

Melzer's run continues a strong stretch of performances and adds another standout achievement to MCC Track & Field's outdoor season.
