MALEAH TUCKER NAMED ACCAC FEMALE FIELD ATHLETE OF THE YEAR

Maleah Tucker added another major accolade to her historic 2026 campaign after being named the ACCAC Female Field Athlete of the Year following a season filled with conference championships, national success, school records, and multiple weekly honors for Mesa Community College Track & Field.

Tucker capped off her outdoor season at the NJCAA Outdoor Track & Field National Championships as a two-time All-American. She earned a national runner-up finish in the hammer throw while also placing sixth in the shot put against the nation's top competition.

Throughout the outdoor season, Tucker established herself as one of the premier throwers in the NJCAA ranks. She earned three ACCAC Athlete of the Week honors and swept the Region I Championships in the hammer throw, shot put, and discus. She also claimed ACCAC conference championships in both the hammer throw and discus.

Her success carried over from a dominant indoor campaign that saw Tucker emerge as one of the nation's top field athletes.

During the indoor season, Tucker earned four ACCAC Athlete of the Week honors while capturing the NJCAA National Championship in the weight throw. She broke the Mesa Community College school record in the event earlier in the season before surpassing her own mark at the national championships with a throw of 18.49 meters.

Tucker also earned NJCAA Women's Indoor Athlete of the Week recognition and was named the NJCAA West Region Women's Field Athlete of the Year during the indoor season.

With conference titles, regional championships, All-American honors, a national championship, and multiple school records, Tucker delivered one of the most accomplished seasons in Mesa Community College Track & Field history.
