No. 13 Volleyball sweeps Benedictine University

No. 13 Mesa Community College volleyball returned home Friday night and made quick work of Benedictine University, earning a straight-set sweep (25–16, 25–22, 25–20) to improve to 2-1 on the season.
The Thunderbirds hit .206 as a team and got contributions across the board. Isa Folau led the attack with 10 kills while hitting .286, adding two service aces. Marley Cortez chipped in seven kills and a team-high four blocks, while Lindsey Leavitt and Gracie McArthur each added five kills. Isabella Jackson paced the offense with 15 assists and two aces, while Brianna Anderson was an anchor with 23 digs.
With the win, Mesa sets its sights on conference play. The Thunderbirds will be back at home Wednesday for their ACCAC opener against Phoenix College, before heading out for a three-day test at the Iowa Central Volleyball Invitational on Thursday.
