Cortez earns ACCAC DII Offensive Player of the Week

Mesa outside hitter Marley Cortez has earned ACCAC Division II Offensive Player of the Week honors after a strong stretch leading the Thunderbird attack.

Cortez finished the week with 40 kills on 108 attempts (.296 hitting percentage). She posted a season-best performance against Cleveland Community College, tallying 18 kills to pace the Mesa offense. Cortez also collected 42 digs averaging a double-double in the T-Birds three matches.
