FOLAU AND AVECHUCO EARN ALL-ACCAC HONORS

Mesa Community College standouts Isa Folau and Marley Avechuco have been recognized among the conference's best following the release of the 2025 All-ACCAC Volleyball Teams.

Isa Folau was named to the All-ACCAC First Team and the All-Region Team after a strong sophomore campaign. The Thunderbird captain totaled 237 kills, 340 digs, and 54 aces, while hitting .175 on the year. She recorded 12 double-digit kill matches and 11 double-doubles, leading Mesa in both total aces and aces per set. Folau also earned ACCAC DII Offensive Player of the Week (Week 5) and Defensive Player of the Week (Week 7) honors this season.

Marley Avechuco earned All-ACCAC Second Team honors after another productive season. Avechuco recorded 218 kills (2.42 kills/set), 214 digs, 32 total blocks, and a .209 hitting percentage. She finished the year with eight double-digit kill matches, including a season-high 18 kills against Cleveland CC, and was named ACCAC DII Offensive Player of the Week (Week 4).

Both players were key contributors in helping the Thunderbirds capture the ACCAC DII Championship and enter the NJCAA Region I DII Playoffs as the No. 1 seed.
