FOLAU NAMED NJCAA REGION I DII TOURNAMENT MVP

Mesa Community College sophomore Isa Folau was named the NJCAA Region I Division II Volleyball Tournament Most Valuable Player after leading the Thunderbirds to their second straight region championship.

Folau was dominant throughout the two-match run, totaling 27 kills, 25 digs, two aces, and two blocks as Mesa swept Pima in the semifinals and outlasted Scottsdale in a five-set championship thriller.

Her consistent all-around play and poise in clutch moments helped power the T-Birds to another Region I title and a return trip to the NJCAA DII National Championships.
