Cross country opens season Saturday at UNM Lobo Invitational

Albuquerque, N.M. – Mesa will open its 2019 men's and women's cross country seasons Saturday at the same site at which it will close the year in November, the University of New Mexico.

The T-Birds will compete in the UNM Lobo Invitational on the same course that will host the NJCAA national championships to conclude the year.

The event will consist of a series of races, both high school and collegiate, as well as a community fun run.

It will give coach Daniel Pescador a chance to see his athletes in competition for the first time with collegiate races starting at 9:20 a.m.

Two weeks later, on Sept. 13, MCC will be back in action at the Dave Murray Invitational at the University of Arizona in Tucson.
