No. 8 Women's Basketball rolls past Glendale

No. 8 Mesa Women's Basketball kept on rolling against ACCAC opponent Glendale on Wednesday night posting a 57-44 win.
After a tightly contested first quarter Mesa dominated the second outsourcing the Gauchos, 17-8. Kamiyah Hurd had another breakout quarter as she scored seven points and grabbed four rebounds in the seven minutes she played in the period. The T-Birds shot 43.8% from the floor and nailed three shots from distance in the quarter.
In the second half Mesa would outscore Glendale 28-25 as they would remain in control until the final buzzer sounded. In the third period Amaya Bekele scored all eight of her points as she hit three of four shots including two three-pointers.
MCC will be back in action on Saturday as they hit the road to take on Phoenix College.

Kamiyah Hurd posted her second straight double-double as she grabbed 14 rebounds to go along with her 12 points.

Bella Barrett had her best game since mid November as she scored 10 points including two three-pointers.

Brooklyn Scurry led the T-Bird bench with six points as she went a perfect 3-3 from the floor.
