NO. 11 WOMEN'S BASKETBALL PULLS AWAY IN SECOND HALF TO DOWN PHOENIX COLLEGE

No. 11 Mesa Community College Women's Basketball earned a key ACCAC win on the road Wednesday, defeating Phoenix College, 68–50, to stay atop the conference standings.

Mesa improved to 15-4 overall and 9-1 in ACCAC play, using efficient shooting and balanced scoring to pull away in the second half. The T-Birds shot 50.0% from the field, 55.6% from three, and 81.3% at the line while outrebounding Phoenix 36-27.

Lakeisha Robinson led the way with 16 points and six rebounds. Meisha Caserio added 15 points with three triples, and Carmella Gallardo finished with 13 points and seven boards. Mesa closed strong with a 23-point fourth quarter to seal the result.

Next up is a pivotal home matchup Saturday against No. 12 Pima Community College. Mesa currently sits No. 1 in the ACCAC DII standings, and the result will have direct conference title and seeding implications. A win keeps MCC in the top spot, while a loss would move Pima into the No. 1 seed.
