  DOUGLAS, AZ - Elisa Mendoza scored an unassisted goal in the 70th minute and it held up for the Apaches in a 1-0 win over Mesa women' s soccer Saturday afternoon.

  The T-Birds out-shot unbeaten CC, which is now 3-0, 13-5, but were unable to score against Diana Medrano. Monique Moore (So., Chandler, AZ/Hamilton H.S.) led Mesa with four shots on goal.

  The loss drops MCC to 1-1-1 on the year. Mesa will remain on the road for the next three games, visiting GateWay Tuesday at the Rose Mofford complex for a 7:00 p.m. start.
