Prescott, AZ - The Mesa Thunderbirds women's soccer team scored a big road victory Tuesday night, defeating the Yavapai Roughriders 2-0.
Mesa used a goal a half to secure the win, with Gianna Corrado scoring the first goal in the 33rd minute with an assist from Rylee Rottweiler. Goal two came from Mary Layden seven minutes into the second half with the assist going to Annabella Bara.
The T-Birds have a 4-5-1 overall record and a 2-1-1 record in conference play. Mesa will be back in action this coming Saturday at Pima.
